Terms of Use

Welcome to Kolo Events ("Kolo", "we", "us"). Kolo is a platform for discovering and organizing live events, joining clubs, making friends, and chatting with other members. By creating an account or otherwise using Kolo, you agree to these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. Who can use Kolo

You must be at least 16 years old to use Kolo. By using the service you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you are legally able to enter into these Terms.

There is no anonymous or guest account for participation: you sign in with Google, with Apple, or with an email address and a password verified by a one-time code sent to that email.

2. Your account and profile

  • You are responsible for the activity that happens under your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure.
  • When you finish onboarding you agree to our profile policy: Kolo is built around meeting real people, so you must upload a genuine photo of yourself and provide truthful profile details.
  • Accounts that use a fake photo, a false identity, or otherwise made-up details may be removed by our moderators.
  • Some profile fields are required (photo, name, gender, at least one interest, and at least one social network). Organizers may require a minimum profile completeness, so an incomplete profile can limit which events and clubs you can join.
  • You can edit your profile at any time from the /profile page.

3. Acceptable use

When using Kolo, you agree not to:

  • impersonate any person or misrepresent your identity or affiliation;
  • post content that is unlawful, harmful, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or that infringes anyone's rights;
  • upload photos you do not have the right to share;
  • spam, scam, or otherwise abuse other members or the platform;
  • attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service.

We may remove content, suspend, or delete accounts that violate these Terms or that harm other members or the platform.

4. Events, clubs, and content you create

  • You keep ownership of the content you create on Kolo (events, clubs, descriptions, photos, messages). By posting it, you grant Kolo a non-exclusive license to host, display, and distribute that content within the service so it can function.
  • You are responsible for the events and clubs you organize, including the accuracy of the details you publish and your conduct toward attendees and members.
  • Event and club "location" is free text that you type; Kolo does not verify it.
  • Ownership of an event or club can be transferred between users through the flows provided in the app.
  • You are responsible for ensuring that any event you organize or attend complies with applicable laws and the rights of others.

5. Chats and communication

Kolo provides chats for events, clubs, and friends. You are responsible for the messages you send. Do not use chats to harass, threaten, or send unlawful content. Message authors and authorized moderators can delete messages.

6. Termination and account deletion

You can delete your account at any time from the Danger Zone on your /profile page. Deleting your account cascades and removes your associated data (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms.

7. Disclaimers

Kolo is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that events listed on the platform will take place as described, that other members are who they claim to be, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. You interact with other members and attend events at your own risk.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kolo and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, from interactions with other members, or from attending events discovered through the platform.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of Kolo after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
